What it is: Give your student motivation for spring finals by sending them a care package. We’ve combined this event with our Matador Matinee event to welcome future Texas Tech parents. New parents are encouraged to make packages for their future Tech student. We will discuss lessons learned from the past school year in addition to discussing student internships and study abroad insights. A light brunch will be served.
How it works: Bring a certain amount of identical items. Some examples are individually wrapped snacks, chocolate, pencils, pens, gum, and many more. You then get to build your own care package by selecting one of the items that you and the other TTUPA parents have brought, like a buffet. We even have the boxes. After the event, you take your finished box and mail it/give it to your student at your convenience.
But wait, there’s more: We will also have homemade items to purchase that would make great care package surprises such as Tech themed lanyards, key FOBs, and snack mats. Tech T-shirts and chapter cookbooks will also be for sale.
We haven’t forgot you, Mom and Dad: We also have some homemade items for purchase such as coaster sets, wine glasses, beer glasses, and wine and beer charms for the older Tech fan.
A “Guns Up” Salute to you and your family!
