Flat tire assistance

I have never placed a review for a business before, but had to express my appreciation for McWhorter Tire in Lubbock, Texas, 806-762-0231. My daughter is a senior at Texas Tech and had a flat tire on her way to student teach today, she made it to the school and called me, I am 6 hours away and not much help. I called McWhorter's and spoke to Jim, I texted him pictures of the tire and information on the car. They went to the elementary school my daughter was student teaching at, took off the tire, took it back to the shop put a new one on and balanced it, returned to the school and replaced the tire. The tire was fixed within a few hours and my daughter did not have to do anything! I can not thank them enough for helping us. Jim was so nice and kind, he made me feel very comfortable and relieved that the car and ultimately my daughter were in good hands. In his words, "We try to watch out for our Tech students". Exceptional service. The price was very reasonable and much less than I expected considering they went to the car to take care of everything, my daughter did not even have to come out of the school. Thank you Jim, thank you McWhorter's and Go Tech! Very nice to know how businesses care for our students.

Reese Automotive is located at 1924 19th Street and they are super friendly, reliable and do great work. There are lots of parents that recommend this provider from the DFW area. It's always the first company referred when people ask on Facebook for a company.

I am from Lubbock and recently moved from Jersey Village (NW Houston area) to Katy. My daughter who will start her 2nd year at Tech this Fall 2014. My husband and I make the drive to/from Lubbock several times a year. Several years ago we had a fairly large, complicated mechanical issue that required repairs before we could return home. My dad and well as brother suggested we use Prock's, and we were very happy we did. They were great from start to finish! They were very good about calling us to give us updates, informing us in detail as to what the issues/complications were, and forewarned us about any potential issues. There was no work preformed prior to them contacting us for authorization,and they made every effort to complete the repairs within the time promised. I was especially pleased with their pricing as well as they could have very easily charged much more (knowing we were otherwise stranded in Lubbock!). We have come to depend on them to take care of all of my daughter's car maintenance as well. It's a great comfort knowing they have been good to take care of her so well too. I appreciate that she has a sense of independence knowing that she does't have to panic or worry if she has a headlight/taillight out, needs her oil changed, or just needs to have her wipers replaced before coming home for the holiday. Prock's has dependably taken care of her each time!

I had a really positive experience at Firestone Complete Auto Care on 19th Street and Loop 289 in Lubbock. They serviced my car for an Oil and Lube in less time than expected. A few days later when I called about tires for my sons car, the same guy remembered me and worked out a good deal.. Also to top it off he welcomed me by name when I walked in. The tire which I was expecting to leave overnight with them because they were very busy, he decided to change there and then.
