Your membership supports:
Each year Tech Parents awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to deserving students. Our scholarships are competitive. TTPA has scholarships for entering freshmen, transfer students, undergraduates, current freshmen and graduate students.
Each spring, Tech Parents awards Student Achievement - Citizenship Awards to one student from each of the colleges, as well as the Schools of Law. Student recipients are recognized at the Texas Tech Parents Association Facult & Student Award Breakfast. Each recipient receives a plaque and honorarium.
Each spring, Tech Parents celebrates excellence in teaching with five distinguished awards. Each faculty award recipient receives a plaque and honorarium ranging from $1,000 to $3,000.
PARENT VOLUNTEER AWARDS
Each fall, Tech Parents honors Volunteer(s) of the Year who have outstanding contribution and involvement volunteering in Texas Tech Parents Association. The Kathleen Bruner Distinguished Service Award, given only when merited, honors a parents whose extraordinary service to the university community and service to Texas Tech Parents Association.ROAD RAIDERS SAFE TRAVEL NETWORK
One of our favored services, Road Raiders are parents and other adult family members of Texas Tech students who provide assistance to students while they are traveling.
PARENT AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
Tech Parent Ambassadors partner with the university to shares their experiences of being a Red Raider Parent with others. Training, marketing and advertising this service supports greater success of our student body.
Texas Tech Parent Association Chapters offer a unique opportunity for parents to get involved, stay connected with your student, and be informed about Texas Tech University. Tech Parents has chapters across Texas and promote chapter development across the country.
MOVE IN INITIATIVE
Tech Parents knows the excitement and stress of moving into college the first day. Our Move In Initiative provides a comprehensive map to pinpoint all of the most important sites for parents and students. From local grocers and big box stores, to medical and mail facilities, we cover it!
Visiting campus and your student on Family Weekend in the fall is one of the more exciting events sponsored by Texas Tech Parents Association. Friday night dinner, game day tailgating, and discount football tickets; we cover it all to provide a memorable experience for our Red Raider Families!
