TEXAS TECH PARENTS ASSOCIATION
is honored to offer
DUES FREE MEMBERSHIP
to Red Raider military service members.
As a member of the Parents Association, we encourage our Military Families to engage with our Parent Ambassador Program or in leadership in some capacity. The Parent Ambassador Program is one of the best avenues of connecting with the university on multiple levels. For more information, visit the website at: https://www.texastechparents.org/page/ParentAmbassadors
The primary member registrant must be a service member of any of the American military branches with a student enrolled at Texas Tech. Your status may be any of the following: active duty, honorably discharged, or retired.
The complimentary membership is a benefit to the service member (not the student). A former spouse (civilian) of an enrolled Texas Tech student does not qualify to receive the military membership.
Once the military service man or woman has completed the membership process, including providing service verification, he or she may add a spouse as a family member*.
To become a military family member of the Association is a two-step process.
1. Fill in the Association's Membership Form:
a. Click "Military Family" membership option and continue
b. Check yes “Military Family” on the registration form
Once you submit, your registration will be on hold for processing until we receive verification.
2. Email Military Family Program Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org
a. Type, "Military Family Application Completed" on the subject line
b. Attach one of the following to validate military service. Redact personal information (SSN/DOD numbers).
i. Uniformed Services ID Card (front only)
iii. “Proof of Service” letter issued by your military branch
iv. Personal letter on your official military letterhead stationary
v. Driver's license with 'Veteran' designation
The benefit is to the American veteran or military service member and does not apply to Department of Defense Civilian Employees, active or retired, nor civilian auxiliaries.
Texas Tech Parents Association thanks you and your family for your service to our country. We are honored to have you as a member of the Texas Tech Parents Association. We hope you will engage in the various activities of the Association and enjoy the "Raider Family" experience.
