Ambassador Opportunities & Requirements


Parent Ambassadors support the mission of the Texas Tech Parents Association.
Parent Ambassadors serve as representatives for Association and University events and programs 
Ambassadors share their time and unique perspectives as current Texas Tech family members.

 

       
 
  • Enhance communication between families and the University
  • Provide a positive experience for families of Red Raider students
  • Assist in sharing information to families at events
  • Encourage involvement and participation from families that reflect Texas Tech’s diverse student population
 
  • Maintain involvement in your student’s education, which can be beneficial to students, families, and the University
  • Gain knowledge about University resources and programs that support student transition, learning, and engagement
  • Implement family outreach initiatives
  • Network with Texas Tech families and friends

Through workshops, experience, training, and engagement, the Emerging Leader level is designed to guide motivated first-year parent volunteers to be leaders at and beyond Texas Tech Parents Association.   Commitment, integrity, and purpose serve in the second level as Red Raider Leaders continue their journey through a variety of deeper engagement activities.   Parents of upperclassman are essential contributors to the Association. Their proven leadership provides direction and helps develop new programs to better serve parents and students.   Raider Nation Leaders are invaluable, offering leadership and guidance to first and second year families. Experienced leaders make a meaningful contribution to the future of the Association.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Ambassadors attend Parent Engagement SUMMIT annually.

Ambassadors routinely engage, plan and volunteer in local activities indicated below.
